A Montana energy facility requested TMI Coatings to sandblast, prime, and coat steel screens at River Station. TMI first contained the large screen to reduce the risk of abrasive and coating material drifting. The screen was then SSPC-SP10 Near White Metal Blasted and primed with Tnemec Zinc Series 90-97. After priming, large pits and voids were filled using epoxy surfacing material. An intermediate coat of Pota-Pox Series 20 was applied and top coated with Tnemec Series 162. TMI started the project on short notice and completed it by working long days and weekends. Two screens have been completed and a third will be started shortly.
