A school district requested TMI Coatings, Inc. (TMI) to give their school gym a facelift. They requested TMI to paint the brick and block walls to help improve light reflectivity and to brighten the gym. With help from the owner, TMI devised a plan to complete this work during a time that the school gym wouldn’t get used. TMI completed this work on time, safely, and in a quality manner.
Procedure:
- TMI poly-covered all the sensitive equipment and areas that were not supposed to get painted.
- TMI prepared the surfaces from aerial lifts by blowing down dirt and debris with compressed air and further hand/tool cleaning rust areas.
- TMI then applied coating material suitable for block and brick surfaces in a school gym. TMI applied the coating by brush and roller to ensure there was no over-spray risk.
- Two colors were applied, one accent color on the beams and a pastel color on the walls.
Outcome:
