Painting Ammonia Tank

TMI Coatings recently completed a large coating project at an ammonia storage facility in Grand Forks, ND. The project consisted of a substantial amount of linear footage of various-sized piping to be sandblasted before applying three-coat zinc, epoxy, and urethane system. The dome portion of a large storage tank, over 16,000 sq. ft., was water blasted with 4,000 psi washers, and rust areas were mechanically abraded to SSPC-SP3 before coating application. TMI then applied three full coats of the specified coating material per the manufacturer’s recommendation.
