TMI Coatings, Inc. (TMI) was asked to complete a swimming pool painting and restoration project on a 150′ long by 63′ wide pool and a smaller wading pool. The Public Works Director of a municipal pool in Colorado understood that delaying concrete repairs could eventually lead to more costly and time-consuming problems. While it was necessary to work quickly and efficiently to minimize any downtime, it was equally important to perform high-quality work that would never sacrifice swimmers’ safety.

From refinishing school and municipal pools to restoring hotel and apartment pools, TMI Coatings has the experience, equipment, and professional staff required to repair all commercial pools.

Procedure:

  • Brush blasted entire pool to remove all loose and flaking paint as well as create an anchor profile for new coating.
  • Removed spent abrasive.
  • Pressure washed the pool with an acid to remove all dirt, dust, and containments.
  • Routed out and applied seam sealer to fill large cracks.
  • Finally, TMI applied a specialized three-coat coating system to the swimming and wading pools.

Outcome:

Now restored to like new condition, there are no cracks, fractures, or defects to mar the municipal pool’s appearance. Another successful swimming pool painting project completed by TMI on time, on budget, safely.
