TMI participated in the public bidding process and arranged a site visit to determine the condition of the pool. The lazy river was in desperate need of attention. TMI proposed three coats of Tnemec epoxy, a trusted pool coating system. We completed this work in a high-quality manner and within the owner’s designated timeline to reopen the pool for the summer of 2023.
Procedure:
- We started the project by setting up all equipment for surface preparation, including sandblasting pots, hoses, and large walk-behind grinders.
- We then sandblasted the pool to an SSPC-SP13 to remove all loose delaminating coating and create a profile for the new coating to adhere to. We also used our Prep master a walk behind unit with multiple diamond grinders on the flat areas of the pool for surface preparation.
- After surface preparation, we utilized Tnemec Series 215 and Vulkem sealant to restore the eroded concrete and fill the joints that needed new flexible sealant.
- TMI finally applied three full coats of Tnemec Series N69F to all pool areas in the owner’s selected color scheme.
Outcome:
