Aspirus Hospital called on TMI Coatings, Inc. (TMI) to restore concrete flooring in a large mechanical room. Years of wear had taken a toll on the mechanical room flooring, requiring considerable repair work. Our experienced staff recommended using CHEM-RESIST, a low-odor product that offers better results and protects concrete floors from the effects of industrial use.
- Using shot blaster and hand-held grinding disks with vacuum attachments, we removed all loose and delaminating flooring. We also mechanically abraded the precast concrete to clean, roughen, and prepare the areas for coating adhesion.
- Restored eroded areas and filled joints to the surrounding plane.
- Applied CHEM-RESIST coating to the floor at 1/16” and the second color to the equipment pads.
The restored CHEM-RESIST concrete flooring provides exceptional protection against wear and tear, and the new coating adds durability and a non-slip finish to the floor.
Our Aspirus hospital contact, Rene, was pleased with the project’s outcome and elated that it didn’t interfere with hospital functions. She stated, “The floor looks great. The guys have been super to work with… no dust or mess. Spectacular job.”
