The production area’s floor was also heavily damaged from years of abuse. The concrete was showing serious signs of deterioration, and its appearance was becoming quite unappealing. The existing coatings were cracked and chipped in many areas. TMI Coatings aimed to repair the facility’s floor and trenches and install protective coatings. Procedure:
- Cleaned the trench to remove grease, dirt, and other contaminants.
- Mechanically abraded the brewery floor to create an anchor pattern for new flooring adhesion. Removed all loose and delaminating material from the concrete.
- Repaired the edges of the trench that were heavily deteriorated. Restored concrete to the level of the surrounding area.
- Installed FIBERLIFE:
- Applied low odor epoxy resin and embedded fiberglass mat into the epoxy.
- Applied an additional coat of epoxy and let dry.
- Diamond grounded the new coatings for a smooth finish.
- Applied a final coat of resin.
Outcome:
