Lining Installed in Clarifier for Food Production Plant

TMI Coatings’ construction crews lined the interior of a large clarifier during a critical plant shutdown.  Due to the time constraints, TMI’s crew immediately began blasting after the tank was drained to prepare the steel for the new coating adhesion.  Some weld repairs were necessary.  After weld repairs were completed, TMI reblasted and applied a lining material suitable for constant immersion service where pH levels can reach 12+.  The lining material was then force cured by elevating the substrate temperature to 140°F for an extended period of time to reduce the cure time in order for the clarifier to be put back into service.
