New Floor Topping for Meat Cutting and Packaging Facility

TMI Coatings was recently contracted by a bison meat cutting and packaging facility to install a new floor topping system in their chillers, coolers, and shipping dock areas.  This work consisted of six separate rooms which totaled over 5,700 square feet and 700 lineal feet of a 45° cant at the floor/wall junctures.  The suitable floor topping for this type of facility and the system that was installed was a ¼ inch thick troweled down cementitious urethane floor topping manufactured by Dur-A-Flex.  The team of seven TMI field workers spread the floor topping with a trowel. The project was completed within a very brief shutdown time and within budget.  Mike Jacobson, VP of Operations said, “everything was great, quality of work, safety of crew, TMI performed as scheduled.”
