Refurbishing Lock and Dam gates

TMI Coatings recently began refurbishing the upstream side of 12 gates at a lock and dam on the 3rd largest reservoir in the state of Texas. Special scaffolding was built to access the area to be sandblasted and painted. Here one of our blasters is removing the existing coating. Containment tarps are being used to contain the debris during surface preparation. Along with removing and replacing the paint TMI is also removing and installing new seals along both sides of each gate to reduce leaking.
