TMI Coatings has considerable experience installing three-coat stucco systems consisting of a scratch coat, brown coat, and finish coat. The finish coat is a weather resistant material that allows the substrate to breathe. Various textured aggregate finish options are available. With over 35 years experience TMI completes work safely and in a quality manner.
TMI completed restoration on a multi-story, century-old brick building in Minneapolis. The customer contacted TMI after a large section of the upper brick facade fell off. TMI got to work quickly to diagnose the reason for the failure and to come up with an economical solution for the customer. Work consisted of demolition, removal of failed and unsupported brick, installation of new flashing, waterproofing of the leaking parapet cap, restoration, epoxy coating structural steel lentils, and installation of a three-coat stucco system over the exposed substrate. TMI did all the demolition and restoration work throughout the project. Judy Van Cleve, Building/Facilities/EMS Manager said, “I can always count on TMI to get the project done timely and for a reasonable cost.”
