TMI Coated Carbon Steel Tanks In Texas

TMI Coatings recently coated 16 carbon steel tanks and 1 fiberglass tank for a large oil company in Texas.  Not only are the tanks protected from corrosion but now they are aesthetically pleasing—a clean, clear advertisement for the company. TMI applied a three-coat system to thoroughly protect the weld seams and areas of corrosion using a flake-filled coating designed to adhere well to marginally prepared surfaces. This flake-filled coating ensures adequate protection of sharp edges, corners, and welds. Then TMI coated all tanks with two full coats rust-inhibitive coating. TMI applied this coating by brush and roller to minimize overspray because of the close proximity of office buildings and cars.
