TMI Lines Tank To Protect From Corrosion

An ethanol company in the Midwest recently installed a new steel tank to hold sulfuric acid. The sulfuric acid is highly corrosive so the tank needed to be lined to protect the steel from corrosion.

TMI Coatings sandblasted both the interior and exterior of the tank. The interior of the tank was lined with a lining suitable for 96% sulfuric acid. TMI’s chemists determined a suitable lining for the materials stored in the tank. The exterior of the tank was sandblasted within containment to eliminate dust and then TMI applied two coats of a quality coating to prevent corrosion and for color retention.

TMI has extensive experience applying high performance tank linings.
