TMI Repairs, Insulates and Coats Main Processing Dome

In 2013, TMI Coatings repaired, insulated and coated a concrete processing dome (173′ diameter x 66′ high) to reduce expansion/contraction of the dome due to extreme Minnesota temperature changes and hold the dome together to prolong its useful life.  TMI began the project by high pressure washing with 4,000 psi pressure washers with oscillating tips to clean the exterior of the dome. Eroded concrete areas were repaired, cracks were routed out and filled. Sprayed-in-place urethane foam insulation was applied to the entire exterior of the dome at an average of 1″ inch. TMI then applied waterproof coating to the newly insulated dome.
